certainly of interest because the reference library have them from the 1840's. There were none before that date as far as I knew.............so is the year 1825 for this correct?

After having looked around the rest of the site it seems someone started it but then gave up. Lots of parts with nothing on and no new posts. Shame because it had real possibilities.

Actually that item wasn't on the site last time I looked which was probably more than 12 months ago.

Baines Directory wasn't a directory per se, it was a gazetteer.

The date would be correct.
