Looks to me like Horse House, on South End Lane, Birkdale

The Horse Houses were off Row Lane. Comparing the lettering with other letters on the page it seems to start with Tho... (those letters are identical to the "Thomas" on the same page.

In Sylvia Harrop's book "Old Birkdale and Ainsdale" she mentions a large house called "Thorn's House" shown on a map of 1848. Apparently it was very big - 6 bays in all when most were 2 bay houses with some 3 bay. It was located just south of where Farnborough Road is now.

Another one for SeaCop's map reference I think!

Good Luck!
