Another one I know where this one came from :grin: Part of the email I got.

the National Library of Australia has
commenced a project to digitise the millions of pages of newspapers from all
around the country.  It is currently in its beta stage and can be inspected
at
http://ndpbeta.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/about
It is government funded, searchable and freely available.  In time, you may be able to find your relations who went to Australia.  The initial plan is to digitise 3 million pages over 4 years.

My uncle went to Oz in the 60s so I will keep an eye on this site.  Thanks for the info...
