I've had a look at the 1841 North Meols Census and the only Betty Marshall I can find of about the right age is 13 and in Marshside with John and Jane Lloyd, along with another Marshall, Jenny aged 15.
No relationships are given on the 1841 Census, but it doesn't look like John Lloyd is Betty's father, her and Jenny are separated from the Lloyd's by a single line meaning they are living with the family, but not of the family.
There was a John Lloyd who married a Jane Marshall 21st September 1829 at St Cuthbert's, North Meols so it's possible Betty and Jenny are Jane's children. I probably have this on my tree somewhere, it sounds familiar, but alas I'm on holiday at the minute and all my records are back in Banks.
I would appreciate it if you would have a look at your tree after your holidays.
I have also seen the Betty and Jenny Marshall entries with them living with others. It is here my trail goes blank and hence the question on the forum.
