Hello

Would anyone be able to help with details of the burial of Catherine Carolan died North Meols 16 Jul 1872.

As she was probably Catholic would it have been at St Marie in the Sands?  Many thanks.  Susan

If she was a Catholic then more than probably.

The society sells the following burial index for St Marie's

S.CH.7: St. Marie on the Sands, R.C. Church,   £8.00 £1.40 £2.25
Southport. Register of Burials
Part 1: 21 Nov. 1855 to 25 Feb. 1867.
Part 2: 26 Nov. 1867 to 17 Jan. 1903.

Thanks.  Do you know where the original records are kept?

I went passed St Maries last week and wondered where the graveyard is?

It looks too small to be round the back of the church...does anyone know?

Last year we went for a wonder round. Brian used to go to school there so we were looking at the old playground. The graveyard is round the back but the gate was locked. It did seem as if you had to ask for permission to go in.
