I had a look in the 1915 directory for you today.

133 Bispham Road - Phillip Pye, labourer is listed as head of house

No Leatham in the surname listing
I looked under Carpenter/Furniture dealer & butcher. No one listed of that name.

Not sure if that helps

Thank you for looking, presumably she would have worked for this family if she lived in.
I'm not sure where to look next for further information but I will stick with it, something my come up.

Thanks again, it was very kind,

best wishes

Fiona

There was maybe a bit more info on a different thread - but it was easier to tell Fiona what I had found separately.

My Great Grandmother Lydia Mountford was in service at 133 Bispham Road when she had my Grandfather in 1915, I wondered who she worked for and if there were any LEATHAM's locally, as this was his father surname (probably), he may have been a butcher or a furniture maker according to family tales.

I may never find out the answers, but will keep on trying,

I often consider going to look at an address mentioned in a post but I know that over the years house numbers change.  My gran lived at 73 Leamington Road until they built on the orchard next door and then she lived at 77!

Hope you find out more, Fiona...

Regards

No Leatham's listed in Southport, Banks or Formby in the Seed's 1914-15 Directory
