Hello
Does anyone have any information about Ince Blundell Convalescent Home in 1985. I have the address listed on a death certificate as Ince Blundell Road, Ince Blundell which doesn't seem to be on any current maps.
Jane, Mother and myself went to visit Ince Blundell Hall when it had an open day (National Heritage Week - I think)! It is on the A565 (Moor Lane) but the main entrance is now on Park Wall Road. The district in which it is situated is Ince Blundell (just south of Formby).
I think Mother has more information about the actual Hall/Home itself - she may well be along shortly?

Unfortunately it hasn't answered my specific question. The address I have for the convalescent home in 1985 was Ince Blundell Road.
I obviously googled it beforehand but that address doesn't appear on the nursing home's site, nor is it on googlemap. A search by postcode doesn't reveal an Ince Blundell Road either.
As I'm not local I'm hoping someone could confirm that they are definitely one and the same place, and in particulalr where Ince Blundell Road is. Thanks
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is (or was) an entrance to Ince Blundell Hall on Moor Lane, which becomes Ince Lane just beyond the hall boundary. It may be possible to find out if Moor Lane was previously called Ince Blundell Road.

I did say in my first post that:
It is on the A565 (Moor Lane) but the main entrance is now on Park Wall Road. The district in which it is situated is Ince Blundell (just south of Formby).
If you go to 'multimap' and enter Park Wall Road, Ince Blundell, Crosby, L2, you should get a map up which will guide you there. Not sure of the full postcode but it is close to Lady Green Nursery and Freshfields Animal Sanctuary so using their postcodes on a satnav should be of some help - but only if you know them

Thanks, I know the postcode and have looked on the map, but it's really a matter of making the connection between that and the information I have on the death certificate. While I'm guessing they are one and the same, it is only a guess.
I'll try to find some old maps or even call them in the hope someone knows.
