'sister Jane Parker died Oct 20th 1908'

was written in pencil by my great-grandmother Elizabeth Blundell nee Parker in her bible (now falling apart).

Today I found this Jane PARKER (born North Meols 1873) in the census of Chorlton on Medlock (Manchester) in 1891 working as a domestic servant.

Then she disappears in the multitude of possibilities regarding whom (if anyone) she married and what her full name was in the next census of 1901.

So I know where she lived in 1891 and I know the day she died, but I know not where she died nor whom (if anyone) she married.

Andre, Can't help you with jane Parker but we are related! Your Margaret Towers features on the Park site:-

Cheshire Marriage Bonds research of Steve Baxter

Lancaster, Butcher and Margaret Towres of Walton, parish of Kirkham, county Lancaster spinster bondsman Robert Blundell of North Meales and Richard Mercer of Ormskirk, county, Lancashire yeoman Witness Alice Watkinson and Arch. I guess the Walton referred to is, in fact, Warton (near Wrea Green, not named after me)  Ray Green

Thanks for thinking with me, sooner!
She is still unmarried in the 1891 census, so this must be another Jane PARKER marrying in 1890.
The death shouldn't be her either because her given name is simply Jane.
I noted down whole listst of possibilities for her marriage and her in the 1901 census, but nothing seems to match well.

Hi Ray,
How are you related to Margaret TOWERS?
Do you have any clues to who her parents could be?

I believe the line is:-
Marg. Towers--Ellen Blundell (b.1722)--Marg. Mawdesley (b.1747)--John Cropper (b.1784)--Ellen Cropper (b.1821)--James Green (b.1855)--Arthur Green (b.1892)--John Green (b.1913)-- Me
I don't know about the parents of Marg. Towers, indeed I don't have her birthdate.

I would also be interested in finding the parents of Richard Mawdesley, the children of Richard Mawdsley and Ellen Blundell and their children-in-law.
