I have asked this one before and hope some one knows a bit more now.
I am looking for the parents of Jennet Ball born abt 1744 Banks, North Meols, Lancashire, England died 1824 in Banks, North Meols, Lancashire burial 31 Oct 1824 St. Cuthberts, North Meols, Lancashire, England and married to
Richard Peet b 1743 Corssens Southport died 01 Jul 1837 Banks, North Meols, Lancashire, England.
Thanks for any help you can give in finding the parents of Jennet Ball also known as Janet or Jenny
Could this be Jennet Ball b1734 and not 1744.
Baptism: 5 May 1734 St Cuthbert, North Meols, Lancashire, England

I have Jennet and Richard on my tree but haven't got any further back. I think I got her info from the Leadbetter Papers.
I have found this burial which looks like it could be her.

Age: 82 Years
Abode: Banks
Buried by: Richard Walker Curate

Which would make her dob about 1741 though in those days it could be they were wrong with their age.

Unfortunately even the Park data base doesn't take her any further back.
though there is one tree that has claimed this Jennet as being the right one.
Sorry couldn't be of more help.
Looking at it it could well be her seems to be she was born in the right area. 8 years in the 1700's ? doesn't seem a lot to be out does it.

I have Richard Peet and Jennet Ball on my wifes tree with Richards parents being : William Peet b.circa1700 : m 1736 : d 1762 . His wife being Ann Brookfield : no further details on Ann.

I am trying to find her father to see if she is linked to the Ball family of North Meols or from outside.
I do have the Peets, Richard Peet b1743 son of William Peet b1723. Jennet Ball I cannot find her parents, she is my 5th great grandmother.
Well Glyn I have come across John Ball c1720 married to Margaret Swift 1715-1764. parents of Jennet Ball 1744 .
Is this of help to you, if I find any more information regarding this I will post it .

Not related to Ball question, but I have William Peet (c1725 on my ill reseached and basic tree!) his wife Ann (c1730 tree info as previous!) and their daughter Ann Peet who marries William Bibby in 1796.
Not news for all you experts I'm sure, but interesting for me re the extra detail I can research based on the info provided via this thread, thanks all!
