John Wright b 1813

Its been over a year since my last posting, so I thought it best to start over again! I'm pretty certain now that my John Wright was the son of John (b 1788) and Ann Rymer. I think one thing will confirm it for certain!

When Richard Wright died in 1822 his Will stipulated that his estate was to be divided between his 6 children then their offspring. As a child I remember my grandmother talking about "money in chancery". It was always a big joke in the family. I would like to know if anyone knows how I could find out about this so called "inheritance", because if this "chancery" thing does refer to Richards estate then I can be certain of Johns/my ancestry. The information I would obtain would be worth a fortune to me!

Anyway, any hints as to how I could find out?

A possible course of action might be to contact the Probate Office and see if they can assist; if they can't they may know who can?
Another possibility is the Lancashire Record Office?

Put the words money in chancery into Google - lots of sites come up that might help.
