Researching descendants of Thomas johnson born 1816 who married Alice Aughton on the 14/03/1838

I'm not sure that this will necessarily help. I have a Thomas (bp 26 May 1816, North Meols, son of John Johnson and Elizabeth, nee Wright) and Alice on my tree - according to the relationship calculator on my software - Thomas Johnson is my husband's 6th great-grandmother's husband's wife's nephew's wife's aunt's husband's 1st cousin twice removed!!!!

I tend to wander up and down my tree, following siblings, aunts, uncles etc so I have quite a few indirectly connected branches.

I'm sure someone can come up with a closer relation.

Hi jody,

Thomas johnson b 1816 married alice aughton 14/03/1838 they had 13 children one of which was Richard Johnson ( Dick Tag), who was my great grandfather.
He married Ellen wright and they had 12 Children one of which was Henry my Grandfather who married Elizabeth Blundell and they had 3 children one of which was my father Miles Blundell Johnson who married Nellie Meadows they had 3 children I am one of them Sheila margaret Johnson who married david jackson. A brief run down but like you we have branches shooting off in all directions and we just keep fishing to see if we can find any more descendants because with all those children there must be somebody else somewhere.
