Had a look at this after it was mentioned. Only one relative (a 3xgt granduncle) I know 'left' money so was nosey to see how much it would have been

In 1880, £475 11s 9d would have the same spending worth of today's £22,975.63.

Quite alot really, one day I will send off for his will
