I moved this if anyone wonders. It was put on the forum by Seacop -
The Reference Library staff are currently cataloguing a number of old maps they have found in the basement! One shows the Southport-Liverpool Turnpike Road c.1839 - and gives details of land and owners/lessees/tenants on each plot (much as our tithe maps do) - noticed lots of Rimmers as tenants and most of the land owned by the Blundell family
