Hello again

I have been asked to start a new topic, in case it gets missed.

Learning photo restoration, more than happy to have a try at anyones old photographs that may need a bit of cleaning up.

Free of charge of course for anyone on here It is something I would like to take up proffessionally in the future (if I can get good enough) so more than happy for practice.  I have done a few on the Rootschat board.

mmmh, sounds interesting - who decided to laminate it?

What OH and I did with one in glass was to take a good photograph of it and do it that way.

Will PM you my email and see how we go.

just got PC back and working, email not up yet - will be back tomorrow night.

Thanks Lynda think it was my Aunty's daughter she has sent me a couple both of old pictures laminated.
Lucky to have a photo at all. My Mum had bad nerves and every time she had a break down a few more pictures would go ended up with hardly any except those that were at my Grans.
Will get a photo of it off to you tomorrow night.

Such a shame isnt it?  I have loads from Dad's family turned up over last few weeks, amazing stuff.  Sadly only a handful from Mums family, similar reasons her mother just burnt them

Yes even her wedding photo 's went .
I was so lucky while looking through the local paper I found one and though it wouldn't print out I found that the local museum had the original newspaper and a lovely lady there took a picture of it with her camera and sent it to me.
I was so thrilled.
Seemingly she had the only one of my Grandad ( her father) and that was long gone even I don't remember seeing it.
