Hi

I have two Rimmer relatives that sailed aboard the Mauretania, Aquitania and Scythia, I think between Liverpool and Ellis Island.

I was wondering whether there is somewhere I could find out more information or passenger lists or whether someone can look at lists for me on Ancestry etc.

I was told that William Rimmer b 1890 was a master of arms (I think this is how you spell it!) on the Mauretania but can find no info on this.

Timothy Rimmer b 1893 sailed as a crew member on the Aquitania and Scythia, I think around 1919 onwards. I have a photo which I will try and add which shows a man in a uniform photographed with Martha Rimmer and thought perhaps this could be William or Timothy. Does anyone know anymore about the uniform?

Any help would be very much appreciated

Thank you everybody

Bridget

Ellis Island can be searched for free - http://www.ellisisland.org/

There are loads of William Rimmers........

You could also try putting the ships names into google. Lots of sites for you to wade through

And looking for a William Rimmer on Ancestry.....far too many on that ship. I can't access ships records though except for incoming to the UK.

Hopefully someone will come along with more help & info for you

I just put sjips passenger lists into Google and found this site. It might help
