Robert Johnson - butcher

Has anyone come across a Robert Johnson who was a butcher in 1922 when his daughter - Elizabeth Anne Johnson (born 1903) was married in Ormskirk. At the time of her marriage, Elizabeth lived at 6 Matlock Road, Southport. There are several Robert Johnsons of around the right age in 1901 - but I don't know who he married................... Any help much appreciated.

Have you tried looking at the electoral registers for that address? I know women were may not mentioned in 1922 but it might be worth checking then and later. At least you would have a first name to help

You could then use FreeBMD to try & locate a marriage - this lists others on the same page and with luck there would only be the one woman with that first name.

There is a tree on Ancestry with Elizabeth Ann on but it is locked.

There again, it could be your tree on there
