Antecedents and descendents of Alfred SAWYER, elder brother of Catherine, who married Milly GRIFFITHS and had a son also called Alfred who married and moved to Barrow in Furness and then the Isle Of Man where his wife came from and may have adopted a daughter whose name may be Elisabeth (Betsy).

I think we need more information on your ancestors...like where abouts did they live and have you found the family on a census?

What makes you think the child was adopted?
