Seeds Directories & British Phone Directories on Ancestr

I just joined Ancestry again and have been searching for the Seeds Directory for Southport. Is it the same as the British Phone Directory? I'm from across the pond and am trying to find people via the directories and am having some difficulty navigating Ancestry for this. Thank you for your help. javascript:emoticon('

no it isn't. Although you might find someone listed in one of those

Try searching for directories and you should see something for Southport.

I have Seed's Directory of Southport for 1924 on CD. I can do a look up if you wish. May take a few days as I have just realised I have loaned it to a friend.

Thank you for the offer. I may ask you to look something up. Someone told me that Seeds Directories could be found on Ancestry.com, but I have looked everywhere, tried to find it under Southport, and have had no luck finding it. Any clues as to where to look? Thanks!

I use Ancestry.co.uk

I've just had a look
Searched the card index - directories

The list then included UK & US Directories 1680-1830
It should actually say 1930...........you can then search for a name etc

I put Gillies and got a long list of different sources
