Anyone researching Tarbucks of Downholland, in particular John born c.1808 to John and Ann.
John married an Ellen and they had a daughter Ann born c.1836 Barton (Downholland area). Question

When my mum was in the promenade at the same time as Louise, she thought Jimmy Tarbuck was coming into the ward and I could see the likeness with your 'husbands business partner', but not your husband.
I also used to think his partner looked like Tony Blackburn!

Hi Glenys,

I'm so glad you explained that you knew mother of old because I was thinking what a bond you seemed to have and you only just meeting an' all.

Are you into family history?

Me ? a complete anorak ......... far more exciting than housework and cooking. Have reached a few brickwalls with mine, so now I am doing my husband's. Mostly Altcar/Formby/Lydiate/Ainsdale, and have found a few that have strayed into Bootle/ Walton / St.Helens, and Southport.
Dotty - I seem to have come across you on another board a couple of years ago. Could have been L.& S.W.L. F.H.S. or Roots.

Could that have been you?

Question Smile
