Okay to start

2 - Another Auntie & Uncle. This time George & Elsie Mason - he was always my Uncle Pud
He was my Dad's brother and they married 16 April 1938 again in Lincoln

My grandparents, Elsie Brookfield of Birkdale and Henry Eric Warden of Birmingham, Warwickshire. They were married at St Peter's Church, Birkdale on 2 August 1924. I like the buildings in the background!!

You need to upload your photo to Photobucket - which is free & easy to use. I'll have to show you next time I'm at your house

Well, I think that the outbuildings are pigeon lofts.  It looks as if the photo was taken in someone's back garden.

Good idea for a thread Admin.  I shall have to dig out some of my photos and hope I can learn to scan them in...

Fingers crossed.

Yes, we thought they might be pigeon lofts. I wonder if they realised when they were posing for the photograph!!

I seriously doubt it...no one thinks twice about what's behind them until they get them developed.

In fact, someone sent me a website of spoiled photos and there was one a the bride and bridesmaids on an exotic beach and behind and to the side of them was a naked bloke sunbathing (not a pretty sight) quite put me off!

Ha ha ha

The V&A are creating a database of wedding fashion 1840-present and are asking people to upload photos.
