Hello everyone,
My name is Don Hancock & my wife is Pat. We originally both come from south west Lancashire; Maghull & Lydiate to be precise. Pat has a lot of family links to the Halsall / Birkdale area but mine are primarily from Warwickshire and Pembrokeshire with a passing contact with Liverpool. (I was born in West Derby just over 77-years back). We have been living in Kenilworth Warwickshire since 1954/5.
My objective in joining this site is to extend Pat's family tree via the BARLOW, CARR, CHEETHAM & CROPPER families, although we do have a quite reasonable amount of information on those in the Birkdale area. Obviously any of this information we are quite willing to exchange with any other site user. Just ask if you have a connection to any of the above names.
As an initial start I can connect Pat's tree to the excellent BARLOW information posted by Steve Baxter and can supply a further link to that from ELLEN BARLOW daughter of HENRY & MARY. She married JOHN CARR in 1860 and Pat eventually became one of her great granddaughter's, so, if anybody is interested, you know what to do!
