James Halsall c1750

Another mystery!

James Halsall of Ormskirk, married twice, first to Margaret Lowe in 1768 and, following her death in 1791 to Ann Heaton in Winwick.  The only child I can find from the 1st marriage was Elizabeth born in 1789.  From the 2nd marriage I see Nanny (1800), Ellen (1804) Mary (1806) and Mary (1809) these children were baptized at St Peter & St Paul with James and Nanny as parents.  William (1798) and Margaret (1802) had James and Ann for parents and Alice (1796) had Nancy for a mother.  I'm guessing Nanny, Ann & Nancy were the same person.

I am looking for anyone researching the Halsall name in Ormskirk who might know of my James.  He appears to be another one of these elusive ancestors - of whom there are so many.
