James Rimmer. Formby - ToxtethAs you all know, singling one Rimmer out from the rest isn't an easy task, so thought I'd post here in search of anyone who's already figured this one out.
My GG grandmother was Margaret Rimmer, born 1835/6 in Toxteth Park to James Rimmer & Jane Aspinwall. Margaret's elder siblings were born in Formby, and the family moved to Toxteth c1833-35.
Her father, James, was born in Formby, baptised there 18th Mar 1804. His parents were Thomas Rimmer & Alice Whitehead.
This couple had 8 children that I know of, all listed as born in Formby.
Thomas & Alice married in 1797, listed Walton on Hill (which of course was their parish, so may have happened more locally in a chapel of ease).
Thomas married Elizabeth (unknown) before 1829, who bore him 2 more children in Altcar.
Thomas was born c1780, but I don't know where.
Does anyone have any further information on this family, particularly anything that might lead back to my North Meols Rimmer records.
