Hi Clare,
A late answer because I had forgotten to update my e-mail address.
I have his parents as Thomas Johnson, chr 27 feb 1791 North Meols and Alice nee Wright chr 1 dec 1793 in North Meols.
Do you perhaps know when his parents died?
I'm also curious about the parents of his first wife Sarah nee Howard (?) and the details of his children from the first marriage.
cheers,
Andre

Hi
Hope this helps - Thomas Sawyer was baptised at North Meols on 2 Dec 1750, the son of Thomas Sawyer and Ellen Rymer. He was buried on 31 Jan 1837 at North Meols. Thomas and Ellen had at least three children.
Priscilla Johnson was baptised on 5 May 1761 at North Meols, the daughter of Hugh Johnson and Elizabeth. She was buried on 2 Apr 1827 at North Meols. Hugh and Elizabeth had at least seven children.
Thomas and Priscilla had at least four children - Thomas, Hugh, John and William.
Regards
Jo
