Radio Merseyside

Hi Folks
I accompanied Jessica Robbins from Tony Snell's Breakfast Show to Ralph's Wife's Lane, Cockle Dick's Lane and Fine Jane's Way last Thursday to record the history of the names.  We met Gerald Rimmer's wife, Jean, and Geoff Lloyd and his father-in-law, Gilbert Rimmer (who it appears is a relation of mine)!
The programme will be broadcast on Tuesday (03.06.2008) at approximately 7.40am but can be heard through your pc from their website either live or up to seven days after.

OOoeerrrrr...

You're a legend in your own time seacop...

I hope you sang the praises of the society.  If you did let me know and I'll pop it into my report for the AGM 2009!

Of course I mentioned North Meols FHS (and, I think, Rimmer FHS);  I talked 'off the mike' with Jessica about the benefits of joining a Society and also suggested that Tony Snell might like to do a family history morning when maybe a few more of us would get involved Very Happy

I've tried to listen to it via their website, but can't get back to Tuesday.  Could you possibly put a link on please, Seacop?

PS.  Slight error I think with Gilbert's surname - I believe it is actually Blundell.
SeaCopRimmer

Yes, Bez, Gilbert is a Blundell - these dyslexic finger strike as and when Confused
Will try and put a link on for Radio Merseyside

Have had a look at their website and I ca't find the link to go further back than yesterday Sad    Mind you, you didn't miss much, only on for about 5 minutes!   Still the Society got a mention so that's good Very Happy
Jane

Sorry I missed it. It does seem daft that Radio Merseyside only let you listen to the day before. I may have to email them.................
