ShakespeareStrictly speaking this is outside the remit of this forum, but some friends of mine are looking for some old photos of :-
W D Suttons formerly The Shakespeare formerly The Shakespeare Hotel
They have already tried the Central Library, the Botanic Gardens Museum and The Lancashire Records Office via Alan Crosby without getting a result, as yet.
I think the most likely source will be a private collector or photographer. Hopefully they or somebody they know will read this post.

Have you looked at southport.gb.com - they have a "Southport Past" site and somebody on there might have something.

I say...This week I was on ebay and I found 1000s of postcards from all over the UK. If you visit this site and register then put a search in for the postcard you want you may be lucky. I tried to bid for two postcards from Southport both were of Lord Street.
Anyway it's worth a look...
