I have been trying to find a paper connection from my own Sutton Family which, in the early part of the 19th century, were based around the areas of Melling and Maghull, about 10 miles from North Meols but, without success.
I find it hard to believe that two large Sutton family groups 10 miles from each other are not connected.
I wonder two things,
Do any Sutton researchers on this board have any ancestors linked with the Melling, Maghull area?
Or (perhaps clutching at straws) know of any direct line male Sutton descendants, who have, or maybe thinking about, a Y chromosome DNA test ?
I have had the test and am of the Haplogroup I1A (I1). This of course is of loosly, Anglo Saxon ancestry and arrived from the continent about 700ad.
I am happy to share my actual results with anyone who has an interest.
Thanks

I'm sure if you add a little more - names/dates etc someone just might connect.

As suggested here is my basic Paternal line.
I realise that some of the names and dates are similar, or even the same as the North Meols Sutton's but, thier childrens names differ and I have records of their births in Maghull/Melling for all except James Sutton born approx 1718.

Now there's a pair of names to conjure with: Our 'Duke' and Liz Taylor (didn't she carry her age well)
