The IGI

Obviously something most of us have used. But I am trying to find an explanation of the last few columns. I know they relate to when that person was entered, re baptised into the Mormon church and how the extract was taken - from a parish register or a personal extract.

Many years ago someone let me borrow a small booklet which explained it all so well. I have tried an Internet search, even tried the help on the Family Search site but can't find a simple explanation.

I would really like to find something to pass onto the local library. They will insist that the B means birth rather than batch number!!

I've also heard a member of staff tell a newbie that 'B' means burial;  found the following on genealogy.com:
