Thomas Ball m. Lilian Wright 1925 - please help...

Hi,

I understand that the BALL and WRIGHT surnames are particularly prevalent in the Southport area, so this might be quite the challenge!! But please help as I have very little information on this side of my family, and there may perhaps be living memory of my grandfather's side and his family.

The details:

Thomas Ball m. Lilian Wright 1925 (Ormskirk?)
-Thomas Ball b. Southport area, Father: Thomas Ball, (and possible sister Fanny)
-Lilian Wright, Father: Richard Wright

Thomas and Lilian had a son, Richard (b. 1927 Southport), and a daughter Janet, both recently deceased.

Richard was my grandfather who moved to Skipton, with his wife Joan, and had 7 children; Michael, Helen, Graham, Heather, David, Alan, and Hazel.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Many thanks.

Hi Simupp

You are so correct with the assumption that the surnames BALL and WRIGHT are prevalent - and particularly so in the North Meols area;  will look up my books and get back to  you (if somebody doesn't get in first)!

Take care

Welcome to the forum Simon. Can't help at the moment as my Wrights and Balls left North Meols in the mid 1800's.
Like SeaCop says so many but I am sure someone will come up with them in the family.

Greetings Simon

Have you got anymore information about these ancestors of yours like the death date and burial/cremation details?

Have you spoken to the oldest living relative you can find to ask them for all they can remember...snippets all add up in the game of hide and seek!
