ToddMy father was born on and we are of a line of Todds that have farmed North Meols since John Todd (born circa 1700, died about 1754 teatime) decided to stop faffing about on the beach and plant some cabbages instead. We seemed to have done most of the work on Roe Lane then we moved to Wennington Road, just round the corner. I would dearly love to know where Rosedale Farm was, and of course get in touch with any Todds or whose forefathers lived on Lawson Street and were gas stokers.

additional to above postA correction for the posting about my family.
The Todds owned and ran farms on Wennington Road, Roe (Row) Lane and Pitts House Road. My great Grandmother was Jane Rimmer whose dad, John Rimmer was a gas stoker at the gas works. Any information about the farming in the area or work at the gas works would be fine.
