William & Isabella Sutton Wright of 21 Lawson St SouthpoLooking for Ann (Nan) Wright, born abt. 1902, daughter of William Wright and Isabella Wright, née Sutton. The family lived in Southport as of the 1911 census at 21 Lawson Street. Ann, their daughter, married William Gillies in 1931. Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated.

In the same directory there is a William Gillies, bath chair man, at 47 Duke St. The only Gillies listed in the directory. Could this be the father of Ann's future husband?

Thank you for the information. You found an entry related to a bath chair man previously, before I had a true understanding of who William Gillies was. I wonder how long he had this profession? He's the grandfather of William Allan Gillies, my uncle, who married Ann Wright. William lived together with his wife, son, and grandson at 47 Duke St. I'm so glad to know where the family continued to live after 1911.
