Going from Botanic Road to Linaker Street is a long way - and I don't recall any 'stores' in Linaker Street? Could you be more explicit please?

OK I have to picture this in my mind as its been 17yrs since I was home. going west from the hesketh Arms past the bakery and stores you round a bend just before you get to Moss Lane there was a Library on the south side of the road. Warings green grocers was next door on one side (relatives again) on the other side 2 doors down was the house I remember Elsie living in. Sorry I can't remember names of roads. going to have to get me one. If I remember I'll let you know. I may have to call dad trans-atlantic and get the address.

That would be High Park Place/Old Park Lane.
That's an awful long way away from Linaker St - you really do need a map.
