WRIGHT, North Meols, SouthportI have just started to research my father's family, the Salthouse's from Fleetwood. I believe the following to be the case:
1 I am the son of
Lawrence Pye Salthouse 1915-1982 and Phyllis [nee Sharples] 1915-2004.
2 He was the son of
Richard Wright Salthouse 1871-1951 and Jane [nee Pye] 1874-1948, address: 40 North Church Street, Fleetwood.
3 He was the son of
** Edward Salthouse, 1844 [drowned] -1872 and Mary [nee Wright], born 1848, North Meols, Southport. Mary later married William Singleton, Shipbuilder, Fleetwood.
4 I believe that Edward was the son of,
John and Alice [nee Wilding] married 1840, Fleetwood.
** Any information - not least greater detail of Edward's death - would be most welcome and very much appreciated.

PostHi Mike
Just having a browse through the old posts and wondered if you ever found any more information. It's unusual that no-one contacts you. Maybe they were like me and missed it...
