Yes, I've worked out that the man making the enquiry is my 5th cousin once removed.

Of course this has only been possible because of the old book with the name of Josiah Wright, his address and a date which gave me something to work with. The rest of the information is thanks to Joyce Otterstrom and her Park database.

Sometimes you just get lucky.

Oh dear, more correspondence!

I'm just doing a basic tree for the woman who passed the query on to me as she wanted to know if I found out anything. She has Wright connections but I don't know if they are the same branch as the letter was passed on to her by a relative who's details were apparently found in a telephone directory listed on the internet. He picked the name at random and sent off his query.

Sometimes you really do get lucky.....

Hello Everyone, this is my first visit The Wrights of Hawesside being my main interest.

Richards are very few in that Branch of the Wrights however having received the same request about Richard and Nancy I found the following in the 1881 census

Living at 16 Hart St. North Meols Lancashire

Richard Wright married aged 24 birthplace Birkdale

Head of Household: Occupation Railway Signalman

Nancy Wright Wife Born Scarisbrick

Thanks for your interest - this was posted on page one of this thread and I'd already found it myself.

If you look at the bottom right of the page and click on "previous" it will take you to page one for you to get the full story.

Although I know when Richard's father was baptised I know nothing else apart from the information in the 1881 census (also posted by bobg on page one) but I have been able to send the enquirer a full tree going back from Richard's grandparents.
