hope you don't mind me joining in the rimmer search

but i'm at a bit of a wall with my rimmers

PETER RIMMER abt 1821 southport; marries MARY MURPHY b galway,ireland (no marrage found only found a bridget murphy?)
they lived in sephton street and tulketh street and he was a builders labourer.peter has a brother called NICHOLAS RIMMER b1829-1894 he marries a MARY RIMMER B1823,found 5 children for them.they maybe a sister nanny/ann?

WILLIAM 1857 (baker)

MARY ELLEN 1860

ELIZABETH ANN 1862-1946, her last address was 20 west street,she had lived their about 35 years.

ALICE; 1866. on 1881 census she is living with her aunt NANNY HALL b abt 1821 the address is marshide lane nanny is a widow, i have found a ann rimmer marrying a william hall.ALICE may not marry as a miss alice rimmer attends elizabeths funeral in 1946

THOMAS 1869 (corporation worker)

PETER 1874(furniture brokers aprentice)

i may be wrong as i don't know how to check who is on this site.but i think i am the lynda you have on your lap top,if i got in contact a few weeks ago through another forum and we spoke on the phone.
is it you who has already helped me with the infomation on elizabeth ann etc?

sorry to here your visit was uneventfull

i'm still plodding through to no avail,i am trying to find my dads cousin who i think still lives in southport,she may be able to shed some light on other family members of elizabeth?ordered some more certificates(peters death and nicholas and marys marrage),i will let you know when they arrive.

i now have nicholas rimmers marrage certificate(brother of peter and ann/nanny?)
nicholas rimmer marries mary rimmer on
9th june 1851,at christ church

nicholas aged 22,bachelor,occupation servant,residence birkdale.father john rimmer,occupation;brewer

mary aged 26,spinster,residence birkdale.father peter rimmer occupstion shoemaker

in the presence of;
william rimmer and catherine heaton.

update ;
anyone have rimmer connections with west street

on the 1911 census
MARY RIMMER nee MURPHY is living
22 west street,aged 79, widow, occupation,householder.
she has her son
WILLIAM RIMMER aged 57(should be 54 to earlier census records?) single, occupation; baker, living with her.

on checking seeds

22 west street stays in the family as mary' daughter
MISS ALICE RIMMER has it in the
1924-25
1927-28
1933-34

mary' other daughter mary ann drittler nee rimmer lives at 20 west street.

no22 changes hands somewhere between 1934 and 1955 as in the 55 it belongs to a mrs edith hall

In the 1914-15 Seeds, 22 West Street, Mrs Mary Rimmer, Apartments.

In the same year there is a George Drittler, boot repairer at 9 West Street.

I think that may be the George Drittler who went to America; dotty - it is the same person researching this family as the previous one (the name has been changed to protect an innocent)

I spoke with my nephew's wife the other day and she says she remembers visiting relatives in West Street - part of the Drittler family (she believes). My mother often said that my niece and her family and our family were related? Now, of course, I am trying to find the link?
