Hello Keith. Welcome to the forum

I think we would need some more information. What exactly are you trying to find out? Is it birth/death/marriage or census or what?

Do you live out of the area or can you use the local library?

This will help us know what help you need.

Hi Kevin
Sorry we were really busy today, but will be back there on Saturday - we will have you at the top of the list for our queries - hopefully get back to you with something positive but can't promise.

We weren't rushed off our feet but the facilities in the library are basic at best.  I waited 11 mins to log onto Ancestry and then had to log out 4 mins later coz that was the only PC available.  I did that one more time and wasn't allowed to log on again as I'd had my quota for the day!

Let's hope we have better luck on Saturday with the laptop...

Hi

In the 1901 census, there is a Lloyd family at 110 Poulton Road, Southport - Thomas Lloyd - head - 30 - coal carter; his wife - Sarah - 30 (born Marriell? Shropshire), five children - Beatrice M - 7; George - 5; Mary - 3; Maria - 1; Ann - 4 months and Thomas' father - George - 65 - all born in Southport. If this is the right family, I probably can supply a little more information.

Regards

Jo

Surely Poulton Road is in High Park not Churchtown?

I think that I would say it is Meols Cop.  I don't think it is either High Park or Churchtown although it is nearere HP than CT.

hi  Jo
thank for your reply.  I think  that this could be my family connection.  because mary lloyd is the right age and there are George's in the family.

regards

Kevin

Hi Kevin

If that's the case then Mary, I think, is the 6th cousin once removed of my husband!!!

PM your e-mail address to me and I'll attach a report from my family history software and you can can check it through to see if it adds up.

Best wishes

Jo

Hi Jody,

I was wondering if you have any info on George age 65? Parents, etc? I had that census info saved but so far havnt found if this Lloyd family ties in with my tree.

Regards

Hi

According to the 1901 census, Thomas was born abt 1870 in North Meols: the only Thomas who appears on the 1881 census is the son of George Lloyd and Ann.

George's age fluctuates across the censuses, however, the only candidates for his parents are Peter Lloyd and Margaret: this Peter being the son of George Lloyd and Ann Leadbetter.

Hope this helps

Jo

Thank you for the reply. George Lloyd and Ann Leadbetter are the branch my family stems from and further back.

I have Peter and Margaret sons Thomas b1840 and George b1843, along with another brother and sister. Does this sound like the right family?

I also havent found the definite connection between George and possible parents being Peter and Mary. Though i agree it seems likely.

Hopefully that wasnt to confusing.
