Hi Sea Cop you know that crossed my mind it does sound German though one of the brothers was using Brown in 1911 perhaps they saw what was coming? so not sure.
Have found the missing sister she went to Canada and ended up in USA.

I think it is a Dutch name although teamed up with Guillaume I would suspect there could be a Flemish connection.  Guillaume is often shortened to Lomme in Flanders.

Yes Ray  his mother was from Holland and his father sometimes said Holland sometimes Belgium.
