Hi Yvonne, looks like this is getting a bit too close to home! It could be that Peter b.1949 is my Husbands 2nd cousin and if so he is a friend of his brother also bn 1949! With a bit of luck Peter will know something of Arthur, shall make a few phone calls this evening....
Slightly off topic, my nephew lives in Stamford Rd.... the plot thickens!!
It'll be interesting to see where this ends up - thanks for your help, much appreciated - Holly
Hi again - not heard of an Alfred but then it was only last night the Husband mentioned his brother being friends with Peter - I'm beginning to think this lot have got something to hide!
Interesting to see, per sooner's reply, that your rellies are sharing with mine at 96 Lorne Street (now Boundary Street). Reginald is my great, great, grandfather.

They were both stonemasons so I guess this was why they shared, unless you know of any other connection.
Hi Mike, sorry for the late reply. At the moment I'm still up to Arthur or rather his wife Elizabeth! If anything crops up regarding Reginald I'll let you know - good luck - Holly
Ray,
I went on Ancestry births 1916-2005 entered Alty, Southport, and they came up, along with other Alty's but I knew Peter would have been born 1949-50, and that one girl was definitely Christine.

I say...
Lorne/Boundary Street is one road away from Duke Street cemetery and there was a large monumental business called Robinsons on Duke Street opposite the cemetery. Maybe they worked there...

Interesting - Elizabeth married Arthur Atly - BUT - her parents also married in Liverpool in 1869 All Saints - Elijah Hodge to Ann Hooton, by 1875 Elijah had died, Holly
