The old Rimmer Family History Society website is now under new management and is currently being reconstructed.

There are now two sites, www.rimmerfhs.co.uk for details of the Society and www.rimmerreviewonline.com a taster of the quarterly magazine 'The Rimmer Review'.

Join the Rimmer Family Society and you'll received a free copy of 'The Rimmer Review' to read on the ................well anywhere really! Rolling Eyes

Hello MrEd. I wish I wasn't so lazy because it would be cool to have a Rigby Society.

As yet I haven't found one Rimmer in my family which I am assured is very unusual...but you never know!

Seacop must be running out of Rimmers though. She's gone to America to pinch some of theirs! Wink

........... and I've found some! We are planning a trip up to Virginia now to study their Archives, but have already found a William Rimmer, sailing from Liverpool in a ship called 'The Dove' in 1640-41; now was he brave or foolish? Answers on a postcard please!

Will you not be happy until you've found every last one of them pesky Rimmer's...

Hope all's well.

Seacop's like a sheepdog
And will not rest till when
She's rounded up all the Rimmers
And got them in the pen.

Love it - maybe should be printed in the next issue? I do hope to have some (exciting) information for you on my return! My mission, and I have accepted it, is to root out all Rimmers, near and far!

Are you going to give us any details - just so we know if we're related or not?

You can go off people MrEd...not me, because I'm not like that, but some people.....

Margery Blundell m Thomas Rimmer 2nd qtr 1868. Children Jane 1869, Margaret 1870, William 1873, Mary 1974 and Alice 1879.

I will send forth more info asap. In the meantime should anyone recognise them please feel free to get in touch.

Not so far - however, I have about 5 or 6 different Rimmer lines now, although not as many as SeaCop. I have only investigated my gr grandfather's line - the one who was known as "Charlie Briton".
