Was thinking the other day about the 'special' dates in my family - for example:

I was born the day Italy declared War on Britain Crying or Very sad
My eldest son was born on Bonfire Night (what a rocket that was) Laughing
My younger son was born on Battle of Britain day Rolling Eyes

Anybody else have 'special' dates of birth?

I can check what happened on your date of birth if you pm me? I have the Chronicles of 20th Century and the Chronicle of America so will look up for you (in secret, of course)

My sister was born St George's day - she always told me the flags flew for her!

Dotty were you really a New Year baby? You've never mentioned that before. Brian's Auntie was born January 1st 1908 but I just know you won't actually share her birthday Smilie_PDT

I was born 1948 so next year I get my bus pass even though I doubt whether I will be retiring...

My mother was in the infirmary with pluerosy (Bez, it's prolly spelt wrong but you get the picture) and I came along unexpected. She said her bed was surrounded by 10 or 11 student doctors...but she couldn't give a rat's a***! Mum wanted to hold out till the 2nd because it was my dad's birthday.
