only the 1955 one belongs to me,the others are just stored at my house,they may at some point be collected,but i doubt it they have been here a long time ,but it is a possibility

Would you be so kind and look in your 1955 Directory for the Knowsley Hotel . I am looking for two ladies who were possibly running it.
Names Monica b 1931 & Veronica b 1934 Salisbury. THere is a slight chance that they were married so please concentrate on their christian names.
If nothing would you take a general look for them.

i have had a look in the book 1955 and listed as KNOWSLEY HOUSE,private hotel. number 7 knowsley road is G STEAD proprietor.
no other infomation.
so i have tried to find the birth of veronica and monica,are they sisters ?
it may just be a coincidence but a MONICA M SIMMONS was born 1933 Q1 salisbury,wiltshire.mothers maiden name HAMON
and a
VERONICA A SIMMONS was born 1934 Q3 salisbury,wiltshire mothers maiden name HAMON

Monica b 1931 and Veronica Salisbury b 1934 in Holywell Flintshire, they were sisters. I also have searched 1951-1970 without any success of their marriage Regards joe

ahh sorry about that.
i thought it was a birth town not the surname.
i have found their births,mothers maiden name spelt different on both.
looked in the book for salibury
in 1955 a W H SALISBURY lives at 21 hall street,southport
and another SALISBURY lives at 89 leyland road (which is flats) but no initial is given?
still no marrages found
but on looking for a salisbury and hayes/haynes marrage i only found
WILLIAM SALISBURY marries a NORAH E HEYS in fylde,lancashire Q3 1925 again spelt different but the only one i could find.
maybe someone of here with more experience could help??
