I research Rimmer's everywhere and for everybody and hold several Rimmer trees. I have at least 8 different Rimmer lines that I am directly connected to - so understand the dilemmas of researching this extremely localised surname!

I don't know if you got my last message. I am just beginning to sort out the Rimmers in my tree, starting with Jane Rimmer, my Great grandmother whose dad John lived on Lawson Street and was a gas stoker. I haven't counted the amount of times the Todds have married into the Rimmer line but the earliest Todd I have was born in North Meols in around 1700 and we lived in North Meols right up until the 1970's. I'd love to see if you could help or we could help each other
