If I order a death certificate, will it tell the name of the child's parents on the certificate? I'm wondering what was the cause of John Green's death? He was born in Birkdale. Thank you.

A death certificate would only have the name of the informant - it may be a parent but it may not be. You would find the cause of death and place of death - again this may be the house or it could be a hospital

I have seen death certs for children where "child of xxxx" is given under "occupation", but probably pot-luck. And yes the informant might well be a parent, but not necessarily.
