I know the bridge. We drove down it last week, and I was figuring it must have been that end, as they were buried at Scarisbrick (the other end would've been nearer one of the Birkdale churches), but that was pure conjecture.

If it is one of the farms still standing, and assuming the farmhouse itself stood on/near Heathy Lane, then we probably have it narrowed down to just one or two now, as there aren't many farm buildings along the lane, mostly just fields.

Yes we are.
Thomas married Emily Robinson, sister of my grandmother Jane, who married James Howard, therefore making Thomas and wife uncle and aunt to my father.

Thomas and Emily used to live in Bury Road when I was going to school.

I also remember going to a farm when I was small.  I still remember that there was a butter pat and paddles on the table Laughing Wonder if it was the Hodge farm,  Question will never know now though Exclamation

Joyce O has just sent me some info and in it is

Census 1851, HO107/2196 Folio 501 Page 15
Census 1851 Ed 1d
48 Higher Blowick James Howard Head married male 28 Agricultural Labourer Lancashire North Meols
Ann Howard Wife married female 23 Lancashire Scarisbrick
Margaret Howard daughter female 4 Lancashire Scarisbrick
James Howard Son male 2 Lancashire North Meols
William Hodge Lodger unmarried male 23 Blacksmith Lancashire Birkdale2

James was the brother of my 3xgt grandfather. Wonder whether Willliam was just a lodger or family somehow.

Thought it was you Tracy.

You will have to have a go and see if you are 'related' to your husband.

Now I will have to see if at all, how my James Howard is related to William Rolling Eyes
