Once again, I am asking for some help - could someone please tell me where the bus station is located that will give me a bus to Manchester.
Thanks so much.
Cheers, Bobbie

| You mean a bus station in Southport? We haven't got one. But you can get a train into Manchester

Well, no wonder Google couldn't give me anything but local traffic buses. Where is the train station then, and are there lots of trains daily, or only a few? This will determine when on Friday I will have to leave.
Thanks
Bobbie

Our railway station is called Chapel Street; trains to Manchester are approx. every hour and take about an hour to get into central Manchester; you can find timetables here:
http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk
If the link doesn't work you need to google national rail timetables!
Take care

thanks Dotty and SeaCop:
I used the link, SeaCop, and was able to get the schedule to Picadilly Station in Manchester with several different times. So now I can figure out which one we can take. This will give me Friday morning free to meet with you gals.
But I still need to know where in Southport the train station is, physically.
Cheers, Bobbie

Hey that is spooky, no bus station! Whatever happened to Ribble buses?
PS Ken Livingstone is looking for a job, if he was mayor of Southport he would soon have you connected by bus to the rest of the country.

That's great, SeaCop! I found it on the map on Chapel St. so I pretty much know where it is. Hope you can make it!
The only thing I don't know right now is where we are meeting for lunch on Friday - did anyone decide?
Cheers, Bobbie

Hi Dotty:
Starting to get packed - have all the suitcases out and trying to figure out what goes where. The biggest conundrum is figuring out where to put two pair of hiking boots as we are going to the Yorkshire dales on June1 - 3. We'll be in the UK for 3 1/2 weeks so packing is a huge puzzle. Oh well, I guess I figure it out.
Then I have to pack my camper (caravan). We are driving from Terrace to Richmond and will stay in the camper for a few nights before we fly and then again for awhile before we head back home. My husband's mother and sister live in Richmond and our son and one daughter live in Delta which is very closeby.
Getting excited! When you decide where to meet, let me know. Will be able to access email until Monday morning, the 19th. Probably will be able to use Michelle's computer when I get to Manchester.
Cheers, Bobbie
