Maybe we should have a thread for things to be found in Southport reference library - lots of hidden delights people don't know about I'm sure.
I shall get Admin onto it.......................

| I know I'm just a pest but my great grandpa died in WWI 1915 at Festuberg, he had an obituary in the southport paper. next time anyone goes in could they look him up for me? I have no pics of him so if there is one with the obituary I would love it if you could copy it and send it to me. his name was William Lee.

Seacop,
Because I live across the pond, I don't have access to the library. Are there any sites that I could access that would give me archive material from local newspapers? I am a member if that helps. I can't find a death date or location for Henry Green, born Ainsdale 1852. He was married to Margaret Lloyd. I'm also looking for clues to my grandmother's disappearance, Clara Green,in October 1911. I thought I might find some reference to a missing person because she left her 7 year old son behind in Southport/Birkdale area.
Regards,
Kathleen Aiello
