I've posted in my Hodge thread in this site

http://nmfhssouthport.myfreeforum.org/sutra8729.php#8729

It contains details of Birkdale tenants, some named Rimmer, who held land late 18th-early 19thC. Amongst these images are signatures of some local Rimmers for anyone interested.

As there is a thread about Birkdale Rimmers I thought Iwould put the info here.

For anyone who may want to know or to narrow down their Rimmers

Peter Rimmer of full age, Birkdale, Farmer, son of Thomas Rimmer, Farmer
married
Priscilla Lawson, of full age, daughter of Richard Rigby, Fishmonger
5th October 1842

and
Peter's sister
Isabel, 20, Birkdale. Father Thomas Rimmer, Farmer
married
Edward Marshall, 28, Birkdale, son of Edward Marshall, Farmer
13 May 1839.

Joyce O does not have all the info on her Rootsweb but I have let her know.

If it's okay with you it might make an interesting notice for the boards at The Rimmer Reunion in October?

Wrong cert arrived today, so thought would post on here. It is on IGI but doesn't say who the parents are, so now I can provide them and perhaps Seacop you can put with the other two.

20th Sept 1842 Parish Church in the Parish of Halsall

James Rimmer 24, Bachelor, Labourer, Birkdale
Father Gilbert Rimmer, Farmer
Ellen Rimmer, 21, Spinster, Halsall.
Father William Rimmer, Farmer.

Witnesses, Eliza Mawdesley & Thomas Sumner.

An afterthought Seacop, would you like copies of this and the other two.
