Stanley Rimmer married my grandmother in 1931, although he isn't my grandfather. But seeing as I have pictures and address I thought it might be useful to post this. The picture is of Stanley "before he went to India" and his sister Stella playing the Contra Bass. Stanley also played the Contra Bass, it seems to be in their family. I don't know yet what his parent's names were but that will be forthcoming, I do know they lived at: 34 Union Street Southport.
I do have other pictures of Stanley, if anyone thinks he might be in their line by all means please do get in touch.
Do you have a date of birth for Stanley? It might help with finding his parents - also the date of his marriage to your grandmother (and her name would help also). I'll see if I can help you to locate any family who may still be around - lots of Rimmers to choose from

This is connected with the "Arcari" post elsewhere here, my grandmother was Nora Alldritt Mack and married Stanley Rimmer in 1931. My grandmother was already pregnant with my mother to possibly a "Victor Thorne" who it seems, fled the scene of the crime!
Subsequently my grandmother married Stanley. A tangled web indeed.
Soon I hope to have the marraige certificate of Nora and Stanley and thus the parent's names. The marriage didn't last long, my grandmother left and with her mother (and some family) and sailed for New Zealand in 1933.
My mother was born May 1931.
Given there is a special "Rimmer' area here, might be someone who is connected with this family?
