1841 - William Mawdsley
Can't find him?

1851 census - Cockle Lane, Formby
Head - William Mawdsley - age 30. Rail lab born Formby, Lancashire
Wife - Ann - age 26 born Formby, Lancashire

1861 - Formby
Head - William Mawdsley - 40 Market Gardener born Formby, Lancashire
Wife - Ann - 35 born Formby, Lancashire

1871 - Liverpool Road (Cheap side), Formby
Head - William Madsley - 50 Ag lab born Formby
Wife - Ann - 49 born Formby

Ann - Sep quarter 1886 - age 62 registered Ormskirk

Jim,
William 1820, Henry 1824, Thomas 1827, Richard 1824, Jacob 1829,
Robert 1832, Mary 1838 and Alice 1840 are all children of John Mawdsley and Isabella Kirby. Jacobus is actually James (translated by a catholic priest for me). Your dates vary slightly from mine which I obtained from parish records at Preston Records Office. There are other children which you have not listed. Do you have them?

The IGI has a John MAWDSLEY/Isabella KIRKBY marriage on 19 June 1815 in Walton-on-the-Hill St Mary, so plenty of scope for other children to these parents earlier than the William born 1820?

Including, maybe, a George born 1816, who married Mary AINDOW (b1817 Formby) on 18 September 1839 in Formby St Peter?

I believe that they may have married in Formby as I have the transcript from the parish records. There is also some record of children connected to Isabella Kirby

Hi Jim
Are you saying that there's a John MAWDSLEY/Isabella KIRKBY marriage in Formby in addition to the one (from the IGI) on 19 June 1815 in Walton-on-the-Hill St Mary?
If so, do you have a date please?
