I recognise The Church of Christ the building is still there but it is a gym now.

Mornington Rd Church of Christ was for many years used by it's owners as a private church and also the Yamamoto Judo club (which my son attended). The owners son renovated the basement into a fully equiped gym.
It's quite some time now (must be about 8/10 years) since they sold the building and it has since been converted into accomodation, I think for either special needs adults or homeless not sure which.

You may be thinking of the hall at the rear of the Jam Chapel - I'm sure when I've gone past that it says Arden College.  Next time I go to Asda I'll try & remember to look.
